April 1st, 1962-November 22nd, 2019 NEPGP Vice President
Stephen A. Farraro, or Steve as his friends called him, served on the board of the NEPGP for 4 years, 2016-2019, sadly he was taken from us too soon.
Although he spent 18 years in facility maintenance and management at Yale University, he knew his passion for animals would give him a career he could truly love. Steve left the university to attend the Connecticut School of Dog Grooming and graduated in 2008. Opening Clippity Do Dog Mobile Dog Grooming, in Trumbull CT, Steve had found his passion, but that wasn't enough. Determined to provide the very best for his clients, both 2 and 4 legged, Steve continued his education at yearly seminars, workshops and attended the Bancroft School of Massage (DoggieU), in Worcester Massachusetts, where he certified in Small Animal Massage. Wanting to give back to his community and dogs in need, he interned at the Connecticut Humane Society where he saw first hand the power that touch and massage can have on sheltered dogs.
With his desire to give as much as possible Steve sat on the board and volunteered in Bridgeport CT, for a non profit whose mission is to assist disadvantaged dog owners with basic pet care needs, such as vaccinations and pet food. He was a volunteer at Small Paws Rescue and a veterinary technician for A Hand for A Paw.
Steve was an important member of the NEPGP board and family. He played a big role, as Vice President he managed our website, newsletters, and constant contact emails. It was important to him that the NEPGP provided our members with continuing education.
Steve inspired those who were lucky enough to have the opportunity to get to know him. He had a big heart and an even bigger personality. He will be missed but never forgotten.
