Wow-so happy so many of you are coming to our Terrier workshop Sunday May 19th with Margery Good and Sarah Hawks. Gearing up for Spring Fling

Time is getting closer for our SpringFling at PetEdge May 19th and we are getting excited.  Margery and Sarah will keep information flowing during the day about how to groom the different Terriers.  In my experience , the head and way it is groomed makes all the difference in the dogs appearance.  And improperly groomed(like a huge beard on a Terrier instead of brick shape or rectangular shape) …well, lets just say that customers come to our salon to get the job done correctly.  If you want to learn more how to groom the Terriers, then this workshop is for you.  What a great way to kick off the Spring rush.  Seating is limited, so don’t be disappointed.  Lunch included and we’ll have prizes and raffles too.  Go to our “shop” to register.  Pre Registration ends May 5th to take advantage of the best prices.  See you soon! Sarah Hawks and Margery Good guest speakers on Terriers at SpringFling

Spring is coming and so are all those extra dogs to groom.  We are excited that Margery Good and Sarah Hawks will be out guest speakers on one of their favorite topics:  the Terriers.  Each have a lifetime of experience and together , well–what a jam packed day of learning and having some fun too.  There will be a brief overview of hand stripping tools and why to card or strip even our pet groomed dogs to maintain the nice rich color and get rid of dead undercoat (not to mention trying to get a clipper thru a coat that the hair follicles are clogged with hair).  How about a presentation showing the similarities and differences with eyebrows on Schnauzers, Scotties, Welsh; the Falls on the Wheaten, Lakeland, Sealyham?  Or how do you set a tail on the Cairn, Westie, Scottie-what is the difference? After lunch and shopping in PetEdge’s store—yes, SpringFling is hosted by PetEdge in Billerica, MA–so you can even pre -order and your heavy items will be loaded into your vehicle by the PetEdge staff during lunch.   The focus is on pet grooming although both Sarah and Margery are tops in AKC shows( Margery has won Crufts in England, & Eukanuba -Sarah-many Best in Show and Best All Around grooming competitions and certifies  for NDGAA plus shows AKC dogs. The afternoon will have live dogs to actually show the lines (body, head, tails) and how to achieve a nice trim for our clients that is practical and looks neat and great!  By learning techniques, you should be able to return to work refreshed, work smarter and handle the influx of grooms with kindness because of the knowledge gained at Spring Fling.  That’s what I’m hoping for myself anyway !!!
