FallFling Quickly Approaching

Our FallFling is quickly approacing and there are still spaces available for members and non-members to join Sherri Shinsky, certified massage practitioner, for a full day of hands-on training designed to teach you about pet massage and the benefits ot can bring to your salon. The event will be held at the beautiful Crowne Plaza in Cromwell, CT on November 13 from 8AM to 5PM. The deadline for hotel reservations is October 15, so make arrangements now and plan to attend this year’s FallFling 2011.

Pre-register now to save! You will receive a 10 percent discount if you register by 10/30 and you will also receive a Certificate of Completion with your name embossed.

We  had our big SummerFest in July, 2011.  In 2012, it will be July 13th-15th at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI.

For our one day educational “FallFling”, we are having Sherri Shinsky present her day long Canine Massage-”Thinking Outside the Box” on November 13th, 2011 held at the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell, CT (10 minutes south of Hartford, CT just off I-91 at Exit 22). Please keep Kathy Salzberg, one of our grooming industry family members in your thoughts and prayers.  She is in the Boston Mass General Hospital with a brain hemorrhage.  Kathy has written many articles for different magazines over the years and published books on the business of grooming.  Keep Missi, her daughter and family(Village Groomer, MA and works with Chris Pawlosky at the Oster Booth @ shows) in your thoughts too.  Thanks!

Competition For Creative Extended until 7/15/11

Only Creative and Model Dogs will be accepted until Showtime July 15th weekend.

Creative is a SPECIAL $25. price and Wacky Model Dog is FREE

If you still want to come to the show, just show up at the door and register for the Trade Show, view the Contests and Seminars.  Online Registration is CLOSED for that.

For those who are registered for the SummerFest, remember to attend one of the Mandatory meetings and then pick up your packet with badge and ring number.  They are :  Friday , 7/15/11 @ noon, or SA7/16/, SU7/17 @ 7AM.

Tragic Death

Lisa Leady lost her daughter Amanda in a tragic auto accident on Thursday June 30, 2011.
Amanda was also the niece of Sue Watson and grandaughter of Donna Zikes.

There will be a service held at The Butala Funeral Home on Tuesday July 5, 2011 from 3:00pm to 8:30pm.

The family has also set up a memorial scholarship fund for Amanda’s graduating highschool’s preforming arts program.

Competition Deadline ONLY extended until 7/7/11

6/30/11  For those of you who have tried to register online for the Competition or procrastinated , there is Good News!!! We are going to extend the deadline for the  SummerFest Competition(including Entry, Intermediate, Open, Crazy Model Dog, Creative and dog provider–NOT Seminars, Trade Show, AddONs-the pre registration on them ends 6/30/11) until 7/7/11. We are nearing the pre registration deadline of June 30th, so take advantage of the best discounts now.  You can still just come to the show and register there; it will just cost a bit more.  Most of all~join us July 15th-17th weekend at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick RI.  The Trade show is officially 7/16 &17 but some Vendors will be open Friday evening during the Creative Styling Competition.  Lock NEPGP in and be a part of the SummerFest.
